Simone Peters was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1978.
Without any formal training in fashion/design, she started designing clubwear for herself and her friends, for their nights out, as nothing already on sale appealed to them.
Soon, interest in her designs grew – to the extent that she decided to turn her hobby into a career and established Kea in 2000.
Although originally a purely clubwear label, the collections have evolved towards a combination of both clubwear and eveningwear elements – with sexiness and sophistication being key to Kea’s look.
Simone’s aim has always been to create beautiful clothes that make women look, and feel, special.
Kea’s first Off-Schedule show for London Fashion Week was in September 2003 - showing the Spring/Summer 2004 Collection.
Kea’s catwalk shows have built a loyal team – including hair stylist John Foster (from Channel 4’s The Salon) and DJ Wain ‘Criminal’ Morrison, while the after show parties are becoming somewhat of an institution – featuring regular DJs Brandon Block, Alex P and Ian Hadassi (Miami Calling).
As well as showcasing the latest collection, these events always raise money for a good cause – bringing fashion and charity together.
